Transport and delivery of iron to the house[Print 7]
Incomplete print
The iron bars are brought by a large cart drawn by three horses. The iron is used to make tools as well as all sorts of materials for the assembly and reinforcement of the timber work, wooden pails and carts. The iron bars are weighed using a pair of scales, hung from the ceiling (zoom 1). The rooves are made of planks or of wooden shingles. The room where the iron is kept is well protected (windows barred and shuttered) to avoid theft.
