He lives near Stuttgart, where he studied machine engineering from 1978 to 1982.

Works as executive in a german car manufacturing company.
Collects minerals since 1975, MMs only.
First attempts of analogue microphotography of minerals in the 80s.
Change to digital photography since 2001.
Favorite localities: Clara mine, Menzenschwand, Cornelia Mine Hagendorf, Lengenbach, alpine fissure minerals, MSH.
