Born in Moscow, Russia in 1946.
Graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University, Geological Faculty 1969.
Professional geologist. PhD in marine geophysics (magnetics).
Wrote 75 article and 3 books (with coauthors) on magnetic and gravite fields of the oceanic Earth crust.
Married since 1970 to Natalia, who is a geologist too.
Two daughters - Tatiana is 30, a web-designer, Olga, 22, a student.
Took part in numerous marine expeditions on a board of research vessels in all oceans.
1993 - 1998 Co-publisher and photographer for the World of Stone magazine.
1997 Director and camera-man of video Russian Gem Treasures, transmitted by Americam All state TV.
Since 1999 - Photographer for Mineralogical Almanac, Russia.
Since 1999 - President and Publisher of Mineralogical Almanac, Russia.
2000, 2001, 2002 - Annual Personal photo exhibitions in Moscow.
His Mineral Photographs published in numerous Russian books and magazines for professionals and wide public, posters, calendars etc.
Hobby - traveling.
