His interest in minerals begins at the age of fourteen in Palma de Majorque. He collects on the basis of aesthetics criteria, with clearly defined geometry shape in both micro and macro minerals.

During his stay in Madrid, in 1991, he joined the Mineralogical Club of Madrid (GMM) a few months after its founding.

Ever since then, his photos have been published in the main mineralogical magazines (" Bocamina ", " The Mineralogical Record ", " Lapis ", ...) and in books covering mineralogy (" Geología de España en imágenes " [Illustrated spanish geology], " Minerales de España " [Minerals of Spain], " Patrimonio geológico de Castilla y León " [Geological Patrimony of Castilla y León], " Patrimonio Geológico de Extremadura " [Geological Patrimony of Extremadura]).

His other point of interest is Philately. This, linked to minerals and computer science brings him to create his own web site www.solotematicas.net, dedicated to stamps related to minerals and Earth Sciences.
